The good news is I'm back at it and just went to the grocery store with a list made up of recipes I've pinned on Pinterest I've been meaning to try. Pinterest is a particular touchy spot with me - some of the combos are just horrifying and you will never find, for example, a taco pasta, in my kitchen, but some of the things either come highly recommended from reliable sources or I pinned from a reliable publication, so I'm looking forward to wading through recipes like these gyros.
In the meantime, here are two things that we ate (and I actually made) in the last few weeks that are just perfect for the season and have hit the spot.
Simple: Proscuitto, fresh basil, heirloom cherry tomatoes, balsamic vinegar glaze (available bottled now!), good crusty bread, fresh mozz. Done and done. |
Roasted garlic naan, tomatoes, flank steak and this cucumber yogurt sauce |

Those gyros are really the shiz. So yummy. Where do you get your balsamic glaze??
We must have messed those gyros up because I think I'm the only one who wasn't a huge fan. Grrr!
I am salivating at the top picture. My ILs have some awesome tomatoes that are still green that I'm going to use for that.
Welcome back! One day, I'll be brave enough to try your recipes. :)
I replied to this days ago, but it ate my response! You can get it at any grocery store in the vinegar section, even my Target has it!!
Don't forget a drizzle of good quality extra virgin olive oil! I forgot to list that up there.
I promise they aren't that scary! <3
Yum! I want to come over :)
